I know someone who works for Accordant - their role is to provide advice and
support to members via e-mail and phone.  Each member is assigned to a
nurse/case manager, so there is an ongoing, caring relationship.  There are
also MD/medical directors available.  The thought is that it will help to
promote proper care, keeping patients going and minimizing the need for
costlier intervention.

This service is a newly emerging area of healthcare and is growing quickly.
