Hi,
in my humble opinion, please consider going to another neuro. I've had one
incompetent, and that was a pain. Adjusting the medications is tricky, and
with the knowledge of a competent neurologist specialised in movement
disorders it is easier to get it right...
Also, try to take the medication 15 minutes before eating, no more, no less.
This helps to ensure that the full dose is absorbed by the body without
interference from the food.
Right now I'm on Madopar Quick Mite 12,5/50 (almost identical to Sinemet,
but made by Roche, easily dissolved in water and quickly absorbed by the
body), I take 1.5 Madopar as a "kick start" in the morning and then 1 every
two hours until I go to bed. When I go to bed I take one 25/100 "CR"
capsule. Every eight hours I take 1 Tasmar, 3 Mirapex 0.25mg, 1 Motilium
(domperidonum 10mg, against nausea from apomorphine). Apomorphine injections
if I experience a sudden "off".
If I want sleep more than 6 hours, I still set my alarm clock at six hours,
take 1.5 Madopar together with the other pills and go back to sleep,
otherwise I have to be fed with the pills and it takes me ages to be
reasonably mobile. My cellular phone has a built in timer, I set it to two
hours every time I have taken the pills to make sure I remember to take the
next dose on time...

Hope that helps,
John
