Thanks, Gary, for the penalty text of the bill. Good grief, it's worse than I thought!! Fortunately the column was printed with the $1 million figure in The Californian this AM, the 9th of May. Hard to believe, but I am a "columnist" (unpaid of course)with this paper, which lets local yokels like me in on the action. Don't know what rules apply here. My niece's ex writes for a Pasadena or Glendale paper, so I may send it to him. I"ve submitted it to The Press Enterprise and The LA Times. We'll see if anything happens there. Can't see anything wrong with modifying it a bit, Maxine.
