hi all i've been taking a 'barometer reading' at PubMed almost monthly for the past four years or so, based on citations entered into their system during the previous 30 days which reference 'parkinson' not very sophisticated, granted, but to my eyes, a valuable 'snapshot' on the current state of published parkinson's disease research in particular and of online access to published medical info in general (not to mention the amazing resource of 11 million citations which is PubMed!) i will be posting some of the more interesting [to me at least] medical abstracts directly to this group over the next week the four lines of each entry below comprise: 1. a brief description of the subject of the published article; 2. the name of the medical journal i.e the publisher of the article; 3. the name of the author(s) of the article; and 4. the PubMed IDentification number (PMID) to look at any of the citations below at PubMed yourself, enter the PMID: number in the search window at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/ btw my 'barometer readings' have ranged from 30's and 40's a couple of years ago to a record high of 277 (!) last month ! Education R Us janet ps i see a lot about hormones and pd this month; let's hear it for research! --------------------------------------- Pharmacology of Atypical Antipsychotics.
