After reading the recent postings concerning the need to consolidate the many Parkinson's foundations throughout the country (and world) I have a suggestion. We, the PWP, HAVE the POWER to bring about consolidation. All that we need to do is to decide which (ONE) foundation we will support. Through this Forum/List and the communication that goes on here, we need to collectively decide which (ONE) organization will be the beneficiary of our donations, fund raisers, endowments. Can this work? Don't know until we try it. How badly do we want it? Don't know until we focus on the issue & begin some "grassroots" dialogue. I believe that the funding for Parkinson's treatment & cure, is diluted and weakened by being diverted to too many agencies, too many chiefs and too many indians. What is the objective here? A cure for Parkinson's or support of a few dozen foundations?
