Dear Janice:
Thank you very much for the info. The name "astagia Yoga" is new for
me. I have a couple of books on Iyengar Yoga, which is supposed to be a
very popular style of yoga. In the book I have in the appendix, they
recommend different yoga asanasas (postures) for different ailments.
Unfortunately, there is nothing specific for PD; but there are a few
recommended for epilepsy.

I have been doing some of those. Most important are the Sirasasana and
Sarvangasana and related ones. I also do Suryanamaskaram (Salute to theSun)
as my first stretching exercise in the morning.

I do not think one can do all the postures every day. This may not be
good for most of us PWPs and this could be too tiresome and that could be
the reason for your shakyness. Do a few selected ones and slowly increase
your postures through several weeks. I alternate between yoga and other
exercises such as lifting dumbels, rowing excercise, abdominals, jogging
and some aerobics on alternate days. I make sure I do not anything more
than 30 mins at a time. One day a week I goof and sleep in.
    Thanks for sharing the info.

    Raj
