"listname" is a worldwide english speaking list for exchanging "NON-PD"
messages between people with Parkinson's Disease (PWP), their partners,
caregivers, family, relatives and people otherwise involved or interested
in PD. "listname" is a sublist of the Parkinsn Information Exchange Network
(PARKINSN/PIEN, see http://james.parkinsons.org.uk/parkinsn.htm).
PARKINSN currently has 1800 members resulting in a large daily amount of
messages. Besides the serious PD-related messages, also many "NON-PD"
messages were exchanged. Some members were overwhelmed by the number of
messages. Others preferred PARKINSN to exchange PD-related messages only.
"listname" is from now on the perfect place to exchange "NON-PD" messages.
That way the number of messages on "listname" will be seriously reduced and
will be mainly PD-related only. People that also want to (continue to)
exchange "NON-PD" messages can join "listname".
Examples of the contents of "NON-PD" messages are: (saga-based) stories,
humor and/or humour, jokes, poetry, cook-recipes, hobbies, pets, vacation,
holidays, chitchat.
SPARKLE started August 15th, 1999. The lists server is located in
Great-Brittain, made available for free by New Information Paradigms and
hosted by Simon Coles. We are very greatfull for their support!!

LISTRULES:
By joining "listname" you acknowledge the following listrules:
A In principle all NON-PD subjects are allowed.
B For your own safety it is not allowed to place your home-address on
the list.
C Sending emails in RTF/HTML-format and ANY form of attachments to the
list is not allowed.
D Also sending emails by way of servers/sites/homepages is not allowed.
E All forms of advertisement are forbidden.
F The contents of the emails should comply with the generally accepted
rules of decency and ethics. Flaming and personal attacks are not allowed.
If necessary these rules can be changed/adjusted by the list-owners.
Members that don't follow these rules can be warned by the list-owners,
and/or (in severe cases) be banned from the list.
