Good Mornng All, Good On Offspring, TSOL, and the Line! cheers ....... murray NEWS - Offspring To Play Benefit For Spinal Injury Research (7/12/02, 7 a.m. ET) -- The Offspring, TSOL, and the Line will play Anaheim's House Of Blues on Saturday (July 13), in a benefit for They Will Surf Again and Life Rolls On, to raise money for a cure for spinal cord injuries. Tickets go on sale at 12 p.m. PT Saturday at Ticketmaster and at the House Of Blues Anaheim Box Office. Proceeds from each $25 ticket will also go to research for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. An estimated 950 tickets will be available. The benefit is a result of a relative of one of the members of Offspring, who suffers from Parkinsons, putting They Will Surf Again director Richard Yelland in touch with Offspring guitarist Noodles. Noodles was familiar with the 2-year-old organization already, as it had been founded by pro surfers. "I followed They Will Surf Again in the surf magazines," he said in a statement. "Being an avid surfer, I was eager to be involved with their work." Yelland offered up two candidates for the funds: The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Association and SCI Research Advancement. The other sponsoring organization, Life Rolls On, is led by former surf star and quadriplegic Jesse Billauer. -- Darren Davis, New York http://launch.yahoo.com/read/news.asp?contentID=209614 Punk act the Offspring will headline a July 31 concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim, Calif., to benefit two spinal cord injury charities, They Will Surf Again and Life Rolls On. http://www.curtisbirch.com/surfagain/ http://www.liferollson.org/ http://www.billboard.com/billboard/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1541141 NEWS: New signaling pathway found, may be linked to movement disorders... http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2002-07/wuso-nsp071102.php ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
