This is the information I have from a Canadian drug index:

Levodopa/carbidopa should not be taken by people with active
cardiovascular, endocrine, blood related, liver, lung (including bronchial
asthma), or kidney disease; or by people with narrow angle glaucoma.


Other references state that there are special warnings (not specified) for
patients with the following conditions:

Bronchial asthma
Cardiovascular or lung disease (severe)
Endocrine (glandular) disorder
History of heart attack or heartbeat irregularity
History of active peptic ulcer
Kidney disorder
Liver disorder
Wide-angle glaucoma (pressure in the eye)


Maybe your friend has some more insight on these "warnings."
