Several years ago, I voluntarily quit driving after being
the driver at fault in an accident (non injury - just
vehicle damage) that probably could be directly
attributable to the effects of Parkinson's Disease/
medication. The police, courts, and State Department Of
Motor Vehicles were not involved, only my insurance and
Dr. I have retained my drivers license, but at my Dr.'s
recommendation quit driving.

Not driving has made life with Parkinson's a little more
difficult. But my life w/PD has improved the past few
months and I would like to begin (limited) driving again.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to deal with
insurance companies about this?

Basically, my current regime of medications/supplements
gives me a very good "on" time from about 9:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m. I would like to do limited driving then,
limiting my driving to daylight, non rush hour, round
trips of less than 25 miles.

How do you suggest I approach my insurance provider about
this?
