A little while ago, a post that was destined for Rayilyn landed at PIEN.
I'd like to clarify my comments and apologize for the appearance of a nonPD
piece where it doesn't belong. Should there be those who wish to respond,
please do so using my address.

When I think of the Pope's visitations, if what I was told is true, I think
of them not in terms of PD but in terms of what I was told his visitations
require-money from his hosts. An assessment. Like Janet Reno, MJF and
Ali, the Pope has the best of care, the best of everything. In fact, these
lovely people don't quite walk in our atmosphere. And none of them has
anything going for quality of life except as it pertains to them as
individuals. Not even MJF qualifies.

I truly understand the depths of an individual's religious beliefs. I am
aware that one who believes that strongly is willing to make the necessary
monetary sacrifices to have the Pope's visitation occur. I respect that.

Then I think back to the gold and treasures of the Vatican compared to the
conditions of most of the citizenry from the countries he visits. and I know
that while the Pope enriches the souls of his children, PD or no PD, he is
in a position of authority close to God to improve their physical conditions
as well. Somehow that doesn't seem to be happening.

In this cold and greedy world of self importance, self aggrandizement,
corruption and wealth, when man more than ever needs to look after his
brothers and sisters, the Pope should be an example for this mixed up world
to follow. If an assessment is what he truly gets, wouldn't it be a
wonderful miracle if he gave it back?

In thought and mind; in caring and friendship,
E of the headdress
