PD diagnosed 1993.  Current Rx: carbidopa/levodopa 50/200 ER
(generic for Sinemet CR), 6X and Mirapex 1 mg, 3X.  Mirapex
(pramipexole) is an "agonist", it supplements dopamine, so
the dosage of Sinemet can be reduced and side effects of
large doses of Sinemet such as dyskinesias (involuntary
jerking and squirming) avoided.

For years I had Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), a overwhelming
need to move my legs around, which disrupted my sleep.  I mg
of Mirapex at bedtime prevents my RLS.
