Hi! Jann:
ALA is a very potent atioxidant and is recommended for PD. however, it
gives me very bad constipation. So I take a very small quantity once or
twice a week.
But, I am no sure about Acetyl-L-carnitine. I remember reading about
this in one of the NPF articles. I has been known to be converted into
nitrate and may be dangerous for health, if I remember right.
So study everything and take action with caution and complete knowledge
of each item.
    Raj
