"Management of Parkinson’s Disease: An Evidence-Based Review"
published by  Movement Disorder Society

The entire issue  is "a systematic review
of the literature dealing with the efficacy and safety of available
treatments... aimed at identifying those treatments
for which there is sound scientific support to justify their
application (or avoidance) and to highlight where a lack of evidence
points to the need for future clinical trials."
TOPIcs include:  prevention of disease progression; symptomatic
control of Parkinson’s disease; prevention of motor complications;
control of motor complications; and control of nonmotor
features. In addition to reviewing currently available drugs, physical,
occupational and speech therapy, counseling and treatments for depression
are covered. Also DBS and neural transplantation surgeries.

Currently this journal supplement is not available online, without a
subscription. However it should be available in most health science
libraries, and the articles can also be requested from your local public
libraries thru inter library loan.
