You are right on with reference to the overall concept. This 'conflict
of interest' could be one of the reasons why some times, sinemet has been
attributed to aggravating melanoma. But however, this has not been
coraborated by followup studies.
Different type of cells undergo slightly different modes of apoptosis.
Therefore, I think there is still hope for specifically inhibiting apoptosis
in one cell type and promoting apoptosis in another cell type.
