Did you see Dr. Lieberman's responses today re physical therapy...
I've pasted it below for you....AND REMEMBER,   he's the NPF Medical
Director...and somebody  in the nursing home thinks he knows more and does
the evaluation.......like I said earlier, ....get the right people
involved....and if you discuss all the points that Rita made with the pd
trained therapist, she/he  should know what he can handle....and just how
does the nursing home staff evaluate a pd person...All I ever hear on these
lists/forums is that a person with PD really needs to be evaluated by a
neurologist who is a movement disorder specialist  and that a plain old
regular neurologist won't do....so that being true, why and how is the
nursing home staff able to evaluate your PD brother???????????    Joan
