Elvie, As a PWP and also having endured this process, I can attest to the fact that it was a bit uncomfortable after the "house cleaning" . The discomfort was due to air that was introduced through the "probe" to inflate the colon for a better view. There was no pain or anesthetic used in my case and I was able to watch the internal pictures on a monitor in front of me. It was not an activity I would soon choose again, but nothing there to be aprehensive about. Prep is nothing to eat after dinner the night before and a super laxative at home and a "fleet enema" at the Dr.'s office ....
