Wow, Murr, when you give things plenty of thought...well, let's just say, you give things PLENTY of thought. You have certainly pointed me in the right direction. I was envisioning a kind of 60's thing, with busloads of Parkies converging on D.C. but times have changed, and maybe in the security-conscious aftermath of 9/11, that isn't such a hot idea. You have educated me in what is happening in my area on a grassroots level. (There's a Cockaponset State Forest in Connecticut? Better get out that map.) Maybe the place to begin is in my quiet corner of Connecticut...Carole Hercun --- Murray Charters <[log in to unmask]> wrote: > Good Morning Jeff, Carole, Meg, and All, > > I gave this plenty of thought.... > > A huge effort and infrastructure would be required, > duplicating everything that is already in place.... > > Oh, I know... there isn't a National Coast to Coast > US combined single entity... > > But there are several very successful events... > > Which we could support... and make BIGGER... > > Check this single event... > > The Parkinson Unity Walk (PUW) > > The PUW, and other similar organizations, are crucial > to funding research to find a cure for PD.
