Friends:
I normally would not send this to the list, but a new computer virus is
causing havoc on
the internet, and has been upgraded to a CATAGORY 4 (sounds like a
hurricane, doesnt it?)
Thats a real nasty one.
In particular "The Bugbear virus infects computers running the Windows
operating system and an unpatched version of Internet Explorer 5.5"
To best insure your computer against these bad guys, email me directly and I
will send you the free tutorial on viruses that you can print and put on
file.
You should have a printed tutorial BECAUSE if your computer is taken down by
a virus, the
printed Virus Tutorial will be crucial to get you back up and running. The
Tutorial covers how to best protect your computer, how to create "boot
disks", and how to "back-up critical files" and more.
I also announce the major new viruses in my weekly newsletter (FREE), which
you can subscribe to by going to http://bayardpromotions.com and subscribe
in the boxe on your left.

These are not to be taken lightly, if you are a Windows IE user, the
Bugbear virus will find you if you are not current with the latest updates.
That is why I am telling the LIST, because this could cause considerable
problems if some are not protected, as this one is spread by email, and
spreads quickly.
Here is an excerpt from ZDNET, which is welll known and highly respected.
You must realize that when a NEW VIRUS is discovered, even the McAfee's and
Nortons will not protect you until they come up with "patches" or "available
upgrades", so you will have times when your computer is vulnerable,
especially PC Windows users
Here is a copy and paste from ZDNET
""""A new e-mail virus gained a greater foothold in unpatched Windows PCs on
Tuesday, spurring antivirus companies to upgrade their estimate of the
virus' danger.
Known as W32.Bugbear or I-Worm.Tanatos, the mass-mailing computer virus
started infecting computers via e-mail on Sunday. On Tuesday, it accounted
for nearly 11,000 infected e-mail messages intercepted by e-mail service
provider MessageLabs' gateway servers. That placed it second to Klez.h,
which accounted for about 14,000 e-mail messages."""""
