I don't have an answer to Larry's question, but on that subject, I wondered
if anyone could recommend a good source--website, publication--for a
comprehensive shopping list of symptoms that might be PD-related?

As many of us have found out, PD has often been the source of unrecognized
and mistreated symptoms. Back pain, frozen shoulder, vision problems, and
respiratory difficulties are just some of the symptoms that confuse patients
and doctors and can result in useless, often expensive treatments, including
surgery.

Even after PD has been diagnosed, patients don't have a good idea of what
symptoms PD might be responsible for, nor does it seem, do our doctors. We
tend to head to orthopedics if our back hurts or to the eye doctor if we
experience vision problems. I have a book on PD that assures me pain is not a
problem....right!

Many times, patients are referred to one specialist after another--some even
being hospitalized--to investigate symptoms that might be related to a heart
problem, for example.

The wonderful side effects of the PD medications are another issue.....but at
least we're more aware of those.

So if anyone knows of a good reference on PD's wide and wonderful world of
symptoms, please share!

Thanks very much.
