Cliff,

I just take one tab before bed. Maybe it takes a while to kick in.

Cliff,

I am no doctor, but try taking a vitamin B-complex before you go to sleep at

night. It suppose to help with serotonin production which helps sleeping.

It worked for me. I had been sleeping 3-5 hours a night. Now I sleep 6-9

hrs. and don't even want to get out of bed in the morning.

I am 73, self employed, work most of 5 days a week. At 70 my primary doctor

noticed the shaking in my left hand, told me it was PD. He said wait till it

got worse before seeking help because the meds were only good for 4 or 5

years once you start. By last June I felt I needed help.

Within 48 hours of starting Carbo/Levo I felt 100% better.

I am fighting the battle first by losing 40 lbs of belly jelly, then into a

good routine of about 30 exercises to build strength and stamina. The only

trouble spot now is the upper glutes (the muscles you sit on) and the

rotational hip movement. I will start on those shortly.

Permax was just added to the Carbo/Levo.

At 73 I am not always sure what is caused by ageing and what by PD until I

read what the others on this site describe.

I have improved my strength level and coordination greatly with my exercise

routines. The only problems left for concern is constipation, and poor sleep

pattern.

Constipation I am going after by eating more beans and fruit.

Sleep pattern is a little more challenging. I wake after a few hours then

doze on and off during the night between trips to the toilet. I have learned

to totally relax, not let it bother me and just rest when I can't sleep. I

am able to take an hours nap after lunch, falling asleep immediately.

I take 2 aspirin before going to bed which makes me more comfortable. I also

take a range of vitamins including chq which I have used for 15 years to

improve my energy level...it helps, only 39 mg, not the massive doses I read

about....Cliff Blair, Brockton Mass
