Looks like for quite a few of us this daily Fatigue is a major symptom and a real problem. I am 54 years old (diagnosed for over 4 years) and have a serious problem with fatigue to where I end up sleeping for 36 hrs once or twice a month just getting up every 4 hours round the clock for meds, food, and bathroom breaks. That additional sleep never takes the fatigue away. Someone mentioned, you can exercise, I would doubt that they have the type of fatigue expressed by some of the parkies, as with this fatigue some of us don't have any type of energy to exercise with. I still work full time. Walking any substantial distance some days can be a chore. I have talked to both my MD and my Neuro MDS about the fatigue over the last two years and was told--- just exercise-- I told both that if that was the solution ya think I would be sitting here complaining about it? Needless to say they then quickly move on to the next symptom. They have yet to find a real solution for the fatigue. My yearly checkups do not indicate anything in the body out of regular medical parameters which would cause this fatigue. I thought I had my fatigue solved when I was diagnosed 2 months ago with Severe Sleep Apnea and now sleep with the CPAP pump. This has added about 40%-60% more energy. This energy I use to it's fullest benefit; but for some reason I am now slowly losing that benefit as whatever causes this Fatigue is starting to creep back in to reclaim that additional energy that I suddenly was able to get from the CPAP pump . From time to time I find that when I really feel fatigued I drink a regular pop or have a chocolate bar, I receive a short sugar fix burst of about 30-45 minutes of increased energy but never more than that. It is suggested by some on this list to cut down the Comtan. If I reduce even one Comtan then my sinemet barely lasts three hours and not the four hours I need between doses. If I cut out my 4 am dose of both sinemet and Comtan or accidentally sleep thru that dose, then when I get up I am not mobile for 60-90 minutes at all or worse happens and I feel really off all day. I'll settle for the fatigue rather than the anxiety, aggression, depression, tremoring, and very uncomfortable feeling of being OFF. Sorry no solutions, just another voice with the same problem. Do you ever get the sinking feeling that this disease has many issues that seem never to get solved Don 54/4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
