Hi, Robert: Fava beans and Mucuna pruriense beans are supposed to be useful since apparently they make their own L-dopa, which is the main component of Sinemet. But, Dr. Lieberman tells that one should aso take the other component of Sinemet (cardiopa?) if yoou want thefull benefit. You should punch in Vicia faba in the National Parkinsons Foundation Archives to get the full and accurate details. There are some companies that sell Fava beans. The beans should be very tender and not fully mature, since the latter do not have l-dopa in them. Good luck!
