Hi, Robert:
    Fava beans and Mucuna pruriense beans are supposed to be useful since
apparently they make their own L-dopa,  which is the main component of
Sinemet.  But, Dr. Lieberman tells that one should aso take the other
component of Sinemet (cardiopa?) if yoou want thefull benefit.  You should
punch in Vicia faba in the National Parkinsons Foundation Archives to get
the full and accurate details.
    There are some companies that sell Fava beans.  The beans should be very
tender and not fully mature, since the latter do not have l-dopa in them.
