Although fava beans contain some L-DOPA, you have to eat pounds and
pounds of them to be equivalent to one pill's worth.

Also, there are a certain number of people, usually of Italian or
other "Mediterranean" origin, who lack an enzyme which, in
conjunction with the intake of fava beans, can develop visual and/or
blood problems (called "favism").

Eat fava beans if you like them, but do not rely on them to treat
Parkinson's disease.

Best,

Bob
