MArilyn,
One of the symptoms of Parkinson's I've experienced is the erosion
of muscle memory. This affects movement - walking, running, piano
playing, computer keyboarding - and swallowing. Anything you've learned
to do without thinking about it. Your neurologist can refer you to a
speech therapist who can teach you to eat and drink in a more thoughtful,
deliberate way.
        All the best,
        Working for the cure, Geo.
