> Has anyone found an answer to choking or gagging while drinking liquids? > what do you do if living alone and have this problem? > M.H., if you are the one experiencing these symptoms, please tell your doctor. You need to have a swallow evaluation done by a speech therapist. Choking on liquids is the first indication that your swallowing reflex has been compromised. If you don't learn new techniques in swallowing - or if you don't thicken the liquids that you drink with an additive, then you could wind up with aspiration pneumonia. Please contact your doctor about this symptom in the coming week so that remediation can be put in place through proper testing and therapy as soon as possible. --------- God bless you Mary Ann Ryan (CG Jamie 63/23) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
