Keith -

My sister is being cared for by Dr. Lewitt and his associate, and was
evaluated by Dr. Junn for DBS today. Strictly from the sidelines of her
downstate care, but from up close on the caregiver end, I'd give them both
good marks. I don't think we told Junn anything he hadn't seen before and
he put his finger on a couple of trouble areas right away. I've never met
Lewitt, but my sister is a difficult case by all standards, and he's hanging
in there with her.

Joanne is tentatively approved for the surgery, but Junn wants a three month
delay to stabilize her meds and have her get her panic attacks under
control. Understandably enough, he doesn't want that to happen while she's
under the knife.

Three months seems like a long time away, but we'll get her there.

Any coping mechanisms the list would like to recommend for panic prone
advanced PDer's?

And thanks in particular to Charlie Black, who pursued me to my work email
with more helpful info for the evaluation interview. First round is on me,
Charlie.
