Hello,

Without knowing to which comments you refer, I feel that critisism
of the President or anyone in a position of effecting the outcomes and future of PWPs is not only appropriate, but is a fundamental tenet of our country. Unless there is a specific rule of this list against it, and it isn't flaming anyone personally on the list or expresses hate or some such thing, then I think it would fit right in with the purposes of this list. I for one am disappointed that there isn't more political/policy info and discourse exchanged regarding PD, healthcare and such.

What remarks do you find offensive--I really don't read all the messages. Do we need to label our messages--Politial Opinion--in the subject line? This has been discussed before.

There have recently been some comments made from members on the list which I
consider inappropriate. We all have the right to our opinions and I respect
those of each of my fellow Americans. However I do not think derrogatory
remarks against the President belong on the Parkinson network. We need to
work through our congressmen and our President to educate and inform them.
The type of critizism which is being sent out over our network does nothing
whatsoever to further our cause. Marilyn Knight, age 74, PD diagosed in
1998.
