    I agree with you fully.  The whole speech was full of ideology and
nothing that I did not expect.  He brushwed away the whoel issue of cloning
and stem cell research wthout even attempting to define both  in one or two
sentences.  The statement was so cold and inconsiderate I could not believe
it.  Most of the time, he sounded like a puppet reading something written by
somebody else, without anhy emotinal commitment.  I could partly agree with
him on issues of Iraq, assuming that his statements are correct.  The rest
was jst partisan ideology.  I do not expect much from this government by way
of relief for us in the near future.
    Sorry, guys!  That is my take.
    I understand that in Canada, some lady in Toronto has come up with a
method to raise stem cells from skin cells.  I understand she has received a
lot of money to conduct her research.  As far I can see, that is the only
hope we have. But, if even that is brushed away in the name of banning stem
cell research, then God help us.
    This is a tragic day for science.
