dear david,

this is insane!   wouldn't a DIVORCE be preferable to the fix you're in?   even if it means being dragged thru the legal system, at least you'll have a chance of extricating yourself sometime from this appalling abuse.

things will only get WORSE (as hard as it is to imagine) if you do nothing but continue to stand your ground.    what have you got to lose?  the devil you don't know couldn't possibly be any worse than the one you do.
