Dear Raymond, My father used to caution me that "what appears obvious, may be misleading." If I've been unwittingly defending a weasel-worded, unfriendly bit of unnecessarily restrictive legislation, then by George, I'll bite my tongue. But who's giving a heads up to those congressfolks who, like I, could be led down the proverbial Primrose Path by the benign-sounding rhetoric. The former presidents, major reseaarch organizations, and other supporters of therapeutic cloning should have -- collectively -- enought influence to turn the tide against H.R. 534, as currently written.
