From the American Parkinson Disease Association Young-Onset Information & Referral Center:

PDKIDS is an Internet discussion group for children who love someone with PD and want to “talk” via email to other kids with similar experiences. PDKIDS provides the opportunity for kids to talk to each other about anything they wish related to Parkinson’s disease.

Here’s how PDKIDS works:

•First join by sending an email to [log in to unmask] There is no cost to subscribe.
•You will receive a welcome message and instructions about how PDKIDS works and how you can begin sending and receiving emails from the PDKIDS membership.
•After you receive the instructions, you can begin to write to other kids by sending your email to the PDKIDS email address that you will be given.
•Your email will be sent automatically to all kids who have joined the discussion group. Anyone who wants to respond to you can send his or her email message by pushing the “reply” button and then writing whatever they wish to send. Their email will be posted to the entire PDKIDs membership, so anyone can reply who is a PDKIDS member. All members will be able to read the replies.
•Remember – PDKIDS is for kids only – not for moms or dads or aunts or uncles (unless they are under 18!)
