Medieval English Theatre Meeting: Saturday 29th March 2003, at Lancaster University. In the Silver Jubilee year of Medieval English Theatre the meeting returns to Lancaster, where it all began in 1978. The topic of the meeting is 'New Directions in Medieval Theatre Research'. The keynote talk on 'Civic Ceremonial and Procession' will be given by Professor Andrew Prescott (Sheffield University), and other speakers include Phil Butterworth, Sarah Carpenter, Penny Grainger, Pamela M. King, John McGavin, Peter Meredith, David Mills, Meg Twycross, and Eila Williamson. Cost: £18 per person: includes morning coffee, buffet lunch (with champagne) and afternoon tea, as well as overheads.
