Jack, Mary Ann, and PIENers, I was taken to the local hospital in Portland Maine in an ambulance two weeks ago, and I hid my entire week's medications in my undergarments so that I could self-medicate. I had had the experience of having my meds taken away on another emergency room trip three years ago, and they nearly put me in the pysch ward when I pushed to get my pill box back. They also refused me orange juice to help me achieve effective blood levels of sugar. They don't know that some of us PWP's are ALSO lowered blood sugar cases.
