Tickets to Celine Dion's upcoming Las Vegas show were the hot item at
the Muhammad Ali Parkinson's Research Foundation benefit dinner. Host
Robin Leach auctioned off four tickets to the opening night of the
singer's upcoming Las Vegas show for $250,000, which works out to a
whopping $62,500 per seat. The benefit event, dubbed Celebrity Fight
Night IX, took place Saturday (March 15) at the Arizona Biltmore
Resort & Spa in Phoenix.

The tickets, which were donated by Dion, were purchased by Discount
Tire Company founder Bruce Halle and his wife, and by MoneySoft Inc.
CEO Bob Machiz and his wife. Producer David Foster (news) will take
the couples backstage to meet the Canadian superstar after her
performance.

Celebrity Fight Night IX honored leaders in sports, entertainment,
and business who best represent the qualities associated with
Muhammad Ali and his fight to find a cure for Parkinson's disease
(news - web sites).

Dion's Vegas extravaganza, A New Day..., will make its debut at the
Colosseum at Caesars Palace on March 25. It will feature a cast of 58
dancers, musicians, characters, and artists, and will combine song,
performance art, theatrical innovation, and state-of-the-art
technology. The opening night of A New Day... will air live on CBS at
9 p.m. ET.

In related news, Dion will be honored with the 2,221st star on the
Hollywood Walk Of Fame on Friday (March 21) at 11:30 a.m. PT. Dion's
star will be located in front of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
