Good morning:

I am an old member (about 3 years 1998-2001) who unsubscribed for a long
trip and never subscribed again. I realized yesterday at a Parkinson's
symposium in Oak Brook, IL that I had been out of touch for a long time
and missed you all--except for the occasional (but too frequent)
bickering.

So I came back.

I am now 66 and was diagnosed 9 years ago. I feel in pretty good shape
on most days. I exercise 3 days a week for about an hour with a
trainer--and have for 9 years-- I work hard in my garden and take
occasional courses at the Chicago Botanic Garden. I try to learn
Italian but find that even after 5 years of study, I still forget more
than I remember and give PD the credit for that. And my husband and I
travel a lot, primarily in Italy and France.

We have 8 children in our family and 18 grandchildren, but they are
scattered all over the country and I baby sit very little.

I take sinemet 25/100, Permax, Amantadine, Eldepryl and Mirapex. I am
very sensitive to the sinemet and therefore take it in tiny increments:
1/4 tab ten times per day. My dyskinesia is both peak dose and wearing
off and I find it horribly frustrating not to be able to tell the
difference.

I also take Arimidex because I was diagnosed with breast cancer last
fall and had a lumpectomy and radiation therapy.

This is the point where I feel very foolish telling all this to perfect
strangers, but I felt I came to know some of you when I participated
last time and hope to "meet you" and learn from you again
