Learning Specialist - Math and Science;  for Student Learning Services
Full time position
1 year contract (possibility for renewal)
Salary according to scale

General Duties:
q Work with students individually to enhance their learning skills in
math and science
q Design and lead workshops to meet the needs of Concordia students
in Math, Science and Engineering
q Participate as a team member in learning support activities

Qualifications:
q Master's degree with background in Math, Science,  Computer
Science, and/or Engineering
q Teacher training and/ or relevant teaching experience at university
or college level
q Understanding of typical learning needs of university students in
Math, Science, Engineering
q Knowledge of learning strategies and study skills appropriate for
Math/Science/Engineering students
q Excellent presentation skills
q Excellent interpersonal skills
q Good ability to conceptualize and design workshops
q Genuine desire to help students succeed at university
q Good team worker
q Good ability to carry out projects responsibly
q Self-starter, motivated, can meet task deadlines
q Must be fluent in English, fluency in French desirable
q Computer literate
