Composition/Rhetoric/Communication

The Centre for Academic Writing at the University of Winnipeg is inviting
applications for a 12-month sessional lecturer position in Rhetoric and
Communication, beginning Aug. 1, 2003.  The candidate must have a completed
MA with a concentration in rhetoric, composition, and/or communication, or
any combination of these areas.  We will also consider candidates with an MA
or PhD (or one close to completion) in English or Education with a
concentration or teaching experience in any one of these areas: academic
writing, technical/professional communication, media and/or cultural
studies, or computer-mediated communication. Experience teaching
undergraduate writing courses is a necessity. The successful candidate may
teach, if appropriate, one upper-level rhetoric and communication course as
well as first-year multidisciplinary Academic Writing courses.  Subject to
budgetary approval, this position may be renewed for up to three years.
