Dear ListMembers, We are running as fast as we can, to make an outreach opportunity as far-reaching and productive as possible. Take Charge! Cure Parkinson's has coordinated an outreach opportunity on Friday April 11, 2003, from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m., that we would like to make as productive as possible. A press release providing the highlights of the program, is copied below. Our computer volunteer, whose time is limited, as she just started a new job, will do her best to help us get important links on to our INFORMATIVE LINKS section prior to the program. It will be most helpful, if organizations having information pertinent to the largest number of people would send us a summary paragraph about the organization and the link that we can copy and paste onto the site. Please put POSSIBLE LINK in the subject box when you send the e-mail. We would also request that you let us know if you will cross-link our site which is www.cureparkinsons.org. April 11 is World Parkinson's Disease Day. It is the 6th Annual World Parkinson's Disease Day. Are we satisfied with the number of people out of any 10 or 20 people that we ask, who know that April is Parkinson's Awareness Month, let alone April 11 being World Parkinson's Disease Day? We will know Monday, if we will have a second half hour to extend the content of the program. The show airs live in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in South Florida. The exciting aspect is that the program can be heard ANYWHERE in the world, via Internet, by logging on to www.WNNHealthTalkRadio.com and clicking on LISTEN-LIVE. The radio station is going to be announcing the program the entire week prior to airing it on Friday April 11. We would welcome your input and any ideas about how to make the most of this opportunity. If any of you would like to cut, paste and send the press release to your local newspaper MEDICAL/HEALTH EDITOR, that would be great. You might call your newspaper and ask for the name, telephone number, email address and fax number of the HEALTH/MEDICAL editor. If you would like us to send you the release as an attachment, let us know. TAKE CHARGE! CURE PARKINSON'S, INC. 1489 W. Palmetto Park Rd.
