List members,

I wanted to alert you to a wonderful new cookbook - the first ever
written for PWP - “Cook Well, Stay Well with Parkinson’s Disease: Super
Foods for Super People.” Many of you will recognize by the title that it
was written by Parkinson's dietician Kathrynne Holden, who has been
providing her expert advice on diet and nutrition on PIEN for many years.

I had the honor of interviewing Kathrynne and reviewing "Cook Well" for
the upcoming issue of "Parkinsonian People" newspaper. Here are a few
excerpts from the article:

"Kathrynne is internationally recognized as THE Expert on nutrition in
Parkinson’s Disease, and she has helped countless PWP improve the quality
of their lives through the foods they eat. This excellent new cookbook
continues the valuable dietary information in her earlier patient’s
guide, Eat Well, Stay Well with Parkinson’s Disease...
It contains many easy-to-follow and enticing recipes and sample menus
utilizing PD Superfoods - foods containing the right amounts of selected
nutrients and anti-oxidants especially valuable to PWP. Kathrynne fully
understands the eating difficulties faced by many PWP and offers numerous
“Easy Chew” and “Hands On” recipes...

Kathrynne Holden is a health professional who truly understands the
challenges of living with Parkinson’s Disease. Her cookbook is a unique
treasure that belongs in the kitchen of every PWP. It should also be
available in every library’s health collection. Encourage your local
public library to order Cook Well… as well as Eat Well with Parkinson’s
Disease...
NOTE: A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book goes to PD
research."

More information and an order form is available on Kathrynn’s website:
