Eileen, my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 6 years ago. A year
or two after than he started to have stomach pain. It seemed to move around
but was mostly just below the belly button. He had every test known to man
and doctors and they couldn't find any thing. The pain was so severe at
times that we would wind up in the Emergency Room. The only thing they
could come up with was "Irritable Bowel Syndrome" or IBS.

So we tried various diets and that didn't seem to help. And they gave him
pills that didn't help.

Finally they sent us to the Virginia Mason Clinic in Seattle. That was an
experience. Driving in Seattle is not fun. Parking is even more of a
challenge. :) Our doctor there was Geffrey Jiranek. He suggested that
Chuck try Pamelor or Generic - Nortriptyline. This is an old antidepressant.
It is also used to treat chronic pain. And it worked. He only takes one
when he has pain and he hasn't had to use one in several months.

I don't know that this is your problem but it might be worth talking to your
doctor about. Good luck.

Lorri
