Does anyone have information as to the best procedure for donating the brain
at death for Parkinson's research? Shirley mentioned this to be her desire
shortly after she was diagnosed with PD. The donation is not mentioned in her
will. She now has serious dementia. I, as her Significant Other and Legal
Guardian, am in the process of getting her funeral prearrangement set up with the
mortuary and I believe I can have her wishes for brain donation for
Parkinson's research mentioned in these prearrangement's. I need to know the proper
way to do this as well as the address or whatever I may need for pre-acceptance
of the donation if possible. I believe the mortuary will be able to help me
but I would like to make certain that everything is done correctly. Shirley
was an RN and she was very certain that she wanted to help PD research. Her
mother also had PD. Shirley is in a nursing home.

Any help from anyone will be greatly appreciated.
