HI,
Here in Australia it is called Cabaser
when I started I only took half what the neuro said with step ups at twice
the interval. I am very concerned about hitting the brain with too much
meds.

I started with a daytime dose of 1/2 going to 4mg. It was only giving mild
relief. I have had PD over 20 yrs and had DBS in STN 2 sides in 1997.

18 months ago the doctor put me in hospital for observation and altered my
meds
He put me on Cabaser 4 mg at 8pm plus Sinemet cr. and it seemed to have no
benefit. Then on the morning of the 18th day I awoke and was in 'on' mode
and could walk with ease for 1-2 hours.Patience is needed.

Then he added 2mg at 8 am while saying it was an 18 hr medication. After a
few weeks a got dyskinesia after 3 pm. Lately started getting dyskinesia as
early as 8-9am. I have been playing with the intake of Cabaser for a few
weeks. What I have found is that the dyskinesia is not a symptom of PD but a
side effect of over dose of drugs.

I have reduced my 8 pm dose from 4mg to 2mg .I now still wake up "ON" but my
day time
dyskinesia seems to be a lot less during the last 10 days

The trade off for me is too stiff vs too loose (dyskinesia)

Regards, Barry Black
