CARLETON UNIVERSITY School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies Composition and Rhetoric The School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Carleton University invites applications for a tenure-track position in writing research and theory. Writing research and theory, composition studies and rhetoric constitute one field of specialization in Applied Language Studies at the graduate (and undergraduate) levels in the School. The successful candidate should have a PhD by the time the position is to commence. Significant evidence of ability in teaching and research are both required. The appointment will be made at the level of Assistant Professor. Duties will include supervising graduate students as well as teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in writing research and theory. Starting date, July 1, 2004.
