i just found out that our event (Shake, Rattle & Roll) was on The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno last monday evening. if you'd like to see our
late night shot at the big time, go to:
http://www.nbc.com/nbc/The_Tonight_Show_with_Jay_Leno/headlines/index.shtml
and then scroll down until you see a piece
about an alaskan malamute w/ chicken lips
and click on the "view headlines." this will open a window that has a
farberware ad.
click on next and go past the swimming
pool paint colors and past bad spelling in
schools and look for our registration form.
it is pretty funny and i hear it got a big laugh. here is a copy of the
email that i sent
to mr. leno: hello mr. leno and whomever else reads this!!

WOW!!! were we ever surprised to see our registration form on national
tv!!!!!!

thank you so very much for giving late night attention to our wildly
successful event called:
Shake, Rattle & Roll for Parkinson's Disease!!!

i am joan blessington snyder and the shake, rattle and roll for
parkinson's disease was our event to raise money for pd research. we
chose the name for the obvious reasons:

1) so that nobody would forget our event for a long time
2) everyone there would either be shaking, rattling or rolling and you
should see the photos!!
3) we want everyone to know that we have pd AND a sense of humor
4) why don't you take a shot at helping us find a cure??

we are two very interesting gals from chillicothe and peoria, Illinois,
both early onset and we worked our butts off to make this second event a
success...we raised over $30,000 !!!!l we even raffled off a pair of
boxing gloves autographed by Muhammad Ali.

we would welcome anything you would be interested in doing to help us to
raise national awareness about this debilitating and progressive
disease. we can tell you some wickedly funny stories about our
experiences with this disease.

stranger things have happened!! lol
