Roberta:
    It is Glutathione not gluathione.
Reduce form of glutahione is a potent anti-oxident and PWPs show
deficiency for it.
Plese punch Glutathione in WWW.findarticles.com and you will get
interesting articles on Glutathione. It is essentially a tripeptide
(consising of three amino acids, I forget the amino acids involved here).
There is a general belief that oral glutathione is not absorbed and
therefore it has to be administered intravenously, which is a very expensive
process. But, there is one article that shows it is absorbed when taken
orally in empty stomach. Besides, since we are deficient in it, I thought
why not try oral intake. It works for me. However, if you need high
concentrations of it in your blood circulation, iv method is preferable.
Some people claim it helps them while others do not. Remember PD is a
designer disease and when some thing works for somebody, it may not work
for ohers. My personal feeling is that if you see any major benefit or not,
since this is a natural compound made in our body, it is probably good in
the long run, (I believe this would not cause any undesirable side effects)
even if I do not see any measurable benefit immediately. Therefore, I take
250 mg every day.
You should definitely consult you doctor before you take any medication.
    Best wishes.
    Raj
