Hi all, I just returned from the N.I.H. where I was included in a Parkinson study bank for anyone doing research on P.D. I was Impressed with the NIH, of course, but especially the people. I saw a movement disorder neurologist for about an hour or so and I just loved her-very kind lady, (Dr. Katrina Gwinn-Hardy) and the nurse was also very kind to work with and if that wasn't enough I saw a very busy scientist (Ph.D.) that has 5 teams of doctors working for him all in research for P.D. The mice studies were especially of interest to me. Anyway, Dr. Katrina told me they think that Mirapex may indeed slow the progression of Pd-I had not heard this before. With all these people devoting their time to cure P.D (and this is just in one place) seems like we'd get some big news someday!!?! Till then we keep going.......
