Press Conference Scheduled to Discuss Parkinson's Disease Patient Research Findings Prior to American Neurological
Association Annual Meeting for Monday (Oct. 20)

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 2003--Results of the "Impact of Parkinson's Disease on the Quality of Life"
patient-based research study will be revealed in a breakfast panel discussion on Monday, October 20, 2003, from 7:00 -
8:00 a.m. Pacific. The discussion is occurring as neurologists gather in San Francisco for the American Neurological
Association's annual meeting, October 19 - 22.

The study was commissioned by Amarin Pharmaceuticals ( http://www.amarinpharma.com ), sponsored by WE MOVE (Worldwide
Education and Awareness for Movement Disorders, http://www.wemove.org ) and conducted by the Harris Interactive market
research group ( http://www.harrisinteractive.com ). Data from a sample of 228 Parkinson's disease patients were
obtained during online survey fielding August - September 2003. Covered topics include the debilitating effects of
"OFF" time, patient's lifestyle modifications, levels of satisfaction with current treatment options, and desired
changes for future Parkinson's disease medications.
