Hi Ray and all, About Barbara Bush's declaring she would not want to be a bore, I learned from my late mother-in-law that "bored" and "boring" can be code words for Things That Must Not Be Named. In her last months, when asked how she was she usually would say "bored," when in fact she was depressed. That said, based on interviews I've heard I think Barbara Bush is not the most empathetic person on the planet.
