Hi everyone,

My mother has been in a very uncomfortable hospital bed for the past few
months because she falls and hurts herself if she isn't attended to at all times.
When she sleeps, we need to keep her safe.

I searched high and low for weeks on the internet to find a better bed
because hospital beds are dangerous and her back is hurting her. I found a great
new item that I thought some of you might be interested in. It was originally
developed for disabled children and now they also make them for disabled
adults. It isn't inexpensive (sometimes Medicare will pay and Medicaid might as
well) but it keeps the patient safe and they can use their own mattress. I am
having ours delivered on Monday to accomodate a double mattress so my mother
will have plenty of room for comfort. It was created to look like real
furniture with a headboard and footboard.

If any of you are interested...call Paul toll free at 1-866 852-2337. Tell
him that Linda Ray referred you. He's a lovely man and very helpful.

Hope this is helpful to some of you!

My Best,

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Linda

SleepSafe™ Adaptive Beds Meet or Exceed Safety Standards with Classic Style!

English Ave Industries has introduced new beds for use in the home health
care industry. Designed with advice from care-taking professionals, the beds,
named SleepSafe™ and SleepSafer™, are designed from solid clear maple or red oak
and accommodate standard box springs and mattresses. The SleepSafePlus™ and
SleepSaferPlus™ Beds offer full, remote control articulation.

The company developed the SleepSafe products because of growing concerns over
patient entrapment associated with hospital bed side rails. Entrapment can
occur in hospitals, nursing homes and at home, particularly with frail, elderly,
or confused patients. The FDA continues to receive reports of injury or death
as a result of patients who have become trapped between the mattress and
bedrail or in the bedrail openings. The SleepSafe products help reduce these risks
by designing the following features into their beds:

• Adaptive full-length, or partial length side safety rails, combining the
strength of solid hardwoods with clear acrylic panels.

• Users can see their environment, reducing the chance claustrophobia, and
caregivers can monitor their patients more easily.

• Only a ¼" gap exists between the mattress and the headboard and footboard,
as well as ¼" gap between the side guardrails and mattress. The tolerance for
SleepSafePlus and SleepSaferPlus Beds is slightly larger to allow mattress
articulation.

• The headboard and footboard extend well below the mattress, eliminating the
chance of an arm or leg becoming trapped.

This unique, patented SleepSafe system also allows for easy attachment and
removal of side safety rails as the patient's needs change. The classic Mission
design offers rock solid construction, created with clear maple or red oak,
unique to patient care beds or hospital beds.

Known for their inventive solutions and creative approach to furniture
design, English Ave. Industries, LLC continues to develop the SleepSafe product line
to offer even more options for caregivers.
